Proper fit is essential for safety. Measure your dog's chest girth at the widest part (behind the front legs) and refer to our size chart. If your dog is between sizes, we recommend sizing up. The adjustable straps allow for a snug, "two-finger" fit.
2. Is the integrated retractable leash safe for large dogs?
The GlideVest Pro is designed with high-tension nylon and a reinforced internal spring. However, it is intended for controlled walking. For extremely powerful pullers or aggressive lungers, we recommend using the secondary back-clip with a standard heavy-duty leash for maximum security.
3. What happens if the leash gets wet or dirty?
The vest is made from breathable, quick-dry tactical mesh. If the leash gets wet, pull it out completely and allow it to air dry before letting it retract. This prevents the internal mechanism from rusting or jamming over time.
4. Can I still use my own leash with this harness?
Absolutely. The GlideVest Pro features reinforced metal D-rings on both the chest (for no-pull training) and the back. You can use the integrated leash for convenience or attach your favorite standard leash whenever you prefer.
5. How do I clean the harness?
We recommend hand washing with mild soap and warm water to protect the retractable mechanism. Avoid fully submerging the back-plate where the leash is housed. Let the vest air dry completely before the next use.
